Upcoming: PolyU Grand Concert 2023
The PolyU Grand Concert 2023 will take place on 14 December 2023. Embracing the theme ‘Echoes of Generations’, this concert brings together esteemed musical legends and rising young talents to create a captivating musical journey that connects generations and fosters the inheritance of musical greatness.
This year’s Concert programme is being curated by the Convenor of the PolyU Artists’ Alliance, Dr Liza Wang Ming-chun 汪明荃博士, a veteran performing artist and PolyU Fellow. It is also being directed by PolyU Artists’ Alliance member Mr Leung Kin-fung 梁建楓先生, a world-class musician and PolyU Fellow. The PolyU Artists’ Alliance was founded earlier this year and brings together prominent art and culture experts to further strengthen PolyU’s commitment to advancing art and culture on campus and in the wider community.
The Grand Concert will feature an all-star lineup of renowned artists, including guzheng virtuoso Dr Lunlun Zou 鄒倫倫博士 (PolyU Fellow); renowned Steinway Artist Dr Vivian Cheng Wai 鄭慧博士; renowned opera soprano Ms Louise Kwong 鄺勵齡女士; our student cum pop song singer Ms Gigi Yim 炎明熹小姐, the Hong Kong Dance Company, as well as the young talents from the PolyU community, PolyU Orchestra and PolyU Choir. They will treat you to a variety of world-class performances spanning different genres and art forms.
