On 10 November 2023, the Inauguration Ceremony of the University Square was held, officiated by PolyU Council Chairman Dr Lam Tai-fai and President Prof. Jin-Guang Teng. This joyful occasion was witnessed by members of the University Council and Court and PolyU Foundation Governing Committee, the University management, staff, students and alumni.

The verdant grass courtyard was officially introduced to the entire PolyU community, adding greenery and vitality to the campus, and helping turn the University into an urban oasis. The University Square not only serves as a symbolic and iconic campus landmark, but also sets a new milestone in PolyU’s development, representing the University’s commitment to fostering an engaging, green and sustainable campus environment. It will provide an ideal outdoor venue for students, alumni and staff to gather, exchange ideas and relax.
