RCDTT: Research Seminar delivered by Dr. Ya-Yen Sun (只有英文版本)

On 6 June 2024, Dr Ya-Yen Sun, Associate Professor at the School of Business, The University of Queensland (UQ), delivered an insightful research seminar on "Decarbonizing Tourism: A Macroeconomic Framework for Tracking Progress and Allocating Responsibilities" to faculty members from SHTM and RCDTT, as well as our PhD students.

The PRI Research Seminar was successfully held today, covering the topic of ”High Resolution Optical Imaging Enabled by Field Engineering - from Physics to Engineering”. The PRI Research Seminar was graced by the presence of Prof. Kebin Shi, Professor of Institute of Modern Optics, School of Physics, Peking University National Bioimaging Center at Peking University, shared his valuable experience and insight with the participants.

RCRE Seminar: CO2 Utilization in Concrete: Challenges and Opportunities (只有英文版本)

Prof. Yixin Shao of McGill University, Canada delivered a seminar on the topic of “CO2 Utilization in Concrete: Challenges and Opportunities” on 10 May 2024. The seminar was co-organized with CEE of PolyU.

RCRE Webinar Series: Upcycling Wool Carpets into Electrodes for Wearable Electrolysers (只有英文版本)

Prof. Bin FEI (SFT) delivered a webinar with the topic of “Upcycling Wool Carpets into Electrodes for Wearable Electrolysers” on 8 May 2024. The webinar was co-organized with CEE of PolyU and HKIE Environmental Division. Around 100 participants joined the webinar.

香港理工大學電機及電子工程學系傑出講座教授兼電動車研究中心主任陳清泉教授、工程師，SBS於2024年5月6日主講理大高等研究院第20場傑出學人講座，講題為「能源革命與汽車革命的新征程」。

The International Conference on Nature-Based Solutions for Urban Infrastructure (NBSUI) was held at Chiang Chen Studio Theatre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) from 25 to 26 April 2024. The Research Institute for Land and Space (RILS) was one of the co-organisers, and the conference had also received support from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Geomatics, and Jockey Club STEM Lab of Earth Observations of PolyU. Prof. Yuhong WANG, member of RILS, and Prof. Qihao WENG, Associate Director of RILS, co-chaired the conference successfully.

多倫多大學國際合作協理副校長Alex MIHAILIDIS教授於2024年4月26日主講理大高等研究院第19場傑出講座，講題為「老年護理的未來發展：大型語言模型的整合」。是次講座吸引了近100名參加者到場參與，以及超過14,100人次於世界各地透過嗶哩嗶哩、微信、微博及YouTube等各個社交媒體平台觀看直播。

英國牛津大學崔占峰教授主講傑出講座 論生物醫學工程

英國牛津大學化學工程Donald Pollock講席教授兼牛津大學高等研究院（蘇州）創始院長崔占峰教授於2024年4月23日主講理大高等研究院第18場傑出講座，講題為「工程學、生物學和醫學的交叉」。是次講座吸引了近100名參加者到場參與，以及超過11,200人次於世界各地透過YouTube、微博、嗶哩嗶哩等多個社交媒體平台觀看直播。
