Distinguished lecture on battery fast charging for sustainable electrification presented by Penn State's Prof. WANG Chao-yang

Prof. WANG Chao-Yang of The Pennsylvania State University delivered the 13th PAIR Distinguished Lecture titled “Battery Fast Charging for Sustainable Electrification” on 27 February 2024. The hybrid lecture attracted over 230 participants joining in person and online from more than 20 countries and regions across Australia, Asia, Europe and North America

It was co-organized with CEE of PolyU and HKIE Civil Division. Over 160 participants joined the webinar.

The Photonics Research Institute (PRI) successfully hosted a Distinguished Seminar yesterday. The seminar was presented by Prof. Ioannis (John) Kymissis, the Kenneth Brayer Professor of Electrical Engineering and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. The seminar topic was "Electronics on anything - how thin film electronics can instrument the world".

The International Symposium on Reclamations Using Local Dredged Sediments was successfully held on Friday 26 January 2024, with the great effort of the co-organizations, the Geotechnical Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of PolyU. The Symposium was greatly supported by ASCE Greater China Section, Hong Kong Geotechnical Society, Institution of Civil Engineering Hong Kong, Research Institute for Land and Space (RILS) and Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD) of PolyU.

The 11th International Conference on the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials (WASCON2023) was successfully held from 13th to 16th December 2023 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). The conference was jointly organized by the International Society for the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials (ISCOWA), the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and the Research Centre for Resources Engineering towards Carbon Neutrality (RCRE) of PolyU.
