2024年2月27日，美國賓夕法尼亞州立大學王朝陽教授主講了香港理工大學高等研究院第13次傑出講座，講題為「支持可持續電氣化的快充電池技術」。是次講座以混合模式進行，吸引了來自澳洲、亞洲、歐洲和北美等20多個國家和地區共230多名參加者，以及超過13,100人次透過多個社交媒體平台觀看直播

The seminar was presented by Prof. Ioannis (John) Kymissis, the Kenneth Brayer Professor of Electrical Engineering and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. The International Symposium on Reclamations Using Local Dredged Sediments was successfully held on Friday 26 January 2024, with the great effort of the co-organizations, the Geotechnical Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of PolyU. The Symposium was greatly supported by ASCE Greater China Section, Hong Kong Geotechnical Society, Institution of Civil Engineering Hong Kong, Research Institute for Land and Space (RILS) and Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD) of PolyU.
