Biography

Dr. Ali ISMAEEL holds a PhD in Geography from Hong Kong Baptist University. He earned his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering and a master's degree in Remote Sensing and GIS. Prior to joining the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI), he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at different UGC-funded universities across Hong Kong.

His research focuses on integrating remote sensing data into process-based models, with applications spanning hydrology, air pollution, and agricultural ecosystems. He is also actively involved in forest microclimate mapping under various climate change scenarios.
