Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury death worldwide, accounting for 7% of all injury-related deaths. To address this serious challenge, we introduce the DPS Anti-Drowning System—an instant detection accessory paired with a protective swimsuit, redefining water safety through smart technology.
The system utilizes acoustic sensing powered by a deep-learning AI algorithm to accurately identify early signs of drowning. Upon detection and validation, it triggers an inflation mechanism that lifts the wearer’s head above water, enabling “instant self-rescue.”
Using deep learning to analyze complex signals, DPS overcomes the accuracy and environmental limitations of traditional single-mode detection methods.
Compared to conventional products, DPS offers clear advantages: It not only ensures high-precision, timely detection but also provides an end-to-end rescue solution—from risk identification to automatic flotation activation and synchronized alerts. It can be easily mounted on standard swim goggles without hindering movement or comfort.
