Recent study reviled one of the major reasons for not receiving influenza vaccine especially among kids are needle fear and the safety issues for children, elderly or immune compensate people. With compelling data, the startup has demonstrated that the human endogenous protein S100A4 exerts robust adjuvant effects for boosting mucosal immunization. The startup aims to provide a prototype influenza vaccine by employing this safe human protein as an adjuvant. This influenza vaccine will be suitable for delivery by nasal spray, thus obviating the need for needle injection.
