Student Computer Laboratory Services

Learning and Teaching Technology Support Services

This service provides a standardized information technology learning environment to support learning and teaching using computer technology. Computers, printers & scanners are provided in the central Student Computer Centre (SCC) for staff and student use in support of their teaching and learning activities. Spaces are available for class booking interactions and also for open access by staff and students.

The Virtual Student Computer Centre (vSCC) is also available for users to remotely access desktop OS and a list of commonly-used software applications.

  • Service available hours: Mon - Fri: 08:30 - 23:30, Sat, Sun & Public Holiday: 09:00 - 23:30
  • Service Support hours: Mon - Fri: 08:30 - 21:45, Sat, Sun & Public Holiday: 09:00 - 16:30

Service level

All service request are classified as level 1 to 4 depending on its impact & urgency.

  • Level 1 – Service Request Resolution Time: 2 days
  • Level 2 – Service Request Resolution Time: 4 days
  • Level 3 – Service Request Resolution Time: 6 days
  • Level 4 – Service Request Resolution Time: N/A

All Incident are classified as level 0 to 4 depending on its impact & urgency.

  • Level 0 – Incident Resolution Time: 4 hours
  • Level 1 – Incident Resolution Time: 1 day
  • Level 2 – Incident Resolution Time: 2 days
  • Level 3 – Incident Resolution Time: 5 days
  • Level 4 – Incident Resolution Time: 10 days
