Scholarship Opportunities @ PolyU 2017/18
News

The following scholarships are open for application by full-time government-funded undergraduate students:

  1. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships - Undergraduate Scholarship (for 2016/17 and 2017/18 intake cohort of full-time degree students)

 

  • To full-time government-funded local students and non-local students from the Chinese mainland who admitted into a 4-year or 5-year undergraduate degree programme in the academic year 2016/17 and 2017/18.  Students with Special Education Needs (SEN) are welcome to apply.  (Senior-year intake students are NOT eligible.)

 

  • Applicants should have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or be within top 10% in class by the end of 2nd semester of 2016/17 for students admitted in 2016/17. Applicants with SEN should have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.

         Application Deadline: 25 Sept 2017 (Monday)

 

  1. HKSAR Government Scholarship 2017/18 (for full-time HD students)

 

  • To current HD students in 2017/18 who were admitted into a PolyU full-time government-funded HD programme in or before the 2016/17 academic year. (HD students in 2016/17 who were admitted into a PolyU degree programme in 2017/18 are NOT eligible.)

 

  • The awardees should have
  - a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5* by the end of the academic year 2016/17 (*Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or above by the end of 2016/17 and outstanding achievements in extra-curricular activities and/or community services will also be considered.);
   
  - attained a minimum of 24 credits (including the transferred credits) in the academic year 2016/17; and
   
 

- achievement/ involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or community services, demonstrated leadership and good communication skills in the past two academic years.

          Application Deadline: 22 Sept 2017 (Friday)

 

  1. HKSAR Government Scholarship 2017/18 & The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Scholarship 2017/18 (for full-time degree students)

 

  • To current bachelor degree students in the academic year 2017/18 who were admitted into a PolyU full-time government-funded undergraduate degree programme in or before the academic year 2016/17.

 

  • The awardees should have
 

- academic excellence (with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 by the end of 2016/17 academic year);

   
  - attained a minimum of 24 credits (including the transferred credits) in the academic year 2016/17; and
   
  - achievement/ involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or community services, demonstrated leadership and good communication skills in the past two academic years
