poster_sytc2024_sThe Faculty of Science at PolyU aims to cultivate the next generation of young scientists by organising the “PolyU SCIENCE Young Talents Competition” for secondary school students. This event, which runs from January to March 2024, offers two rounds of competition to assess participants' theoretical knowledge while also giving them a chance to gain hands-on laboratory experience. This allows them to explore their interests and get a first-hand look at advanced research facilities at PolyU.

During the final stage, teams will have the opportunity to conduct exciting and challenging experiments in PolyU laboratories. Below is the details of the Final Competition:

  • Date: 16 March 2024 (Sat)

  • Time: 9am – 6:30pm

  • The Final Competition will consist of four parallel sessions in the following streams: Biology & Food Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

  • All teams will need to complete four tasks within the laboratory facility or classroom, with each task lasting 75 minutes.

  • All participants must attend all sessions on the PolyU campus in person.

In addition to receiving attractive cash rewards, the overall winning teams will have the opportunity to intern with our Star Professors during Summer 2024. We warmly invite you to participate in this thrilling competition!

 

為培育下一代科學青年人才,理學院將於2024年1月至3月舉辦「理大科學青年人才比賽」。比賽旨在評估中學生的理論知識,並在理大的先進實驗室中提供實踐學習的機會,讓參賽者能夠發掘對科學的興趣。

在決賽中,參賽隊伍將在理大實驗室參與有趣且具有挑戰性的實驗。以下為決賽詳情:

  • 日期:2024316日(星期六)

  • 時間上午9:00 下午6:30

  • 比賽將分四場進行,分別為:生物與食品科學, 化學,數學,物理。

  • 參賽隊伍需要在實驗室或教室中完成 4 項指定任務。 每個任務限時75分鐘。

  • 所有參賽隊伍必須親身出席理大校園參加所有項目。

除了可以獲得豐富的現金獎外,勝出隊伍更能獲得於2024年暑假參與理學院星級教授研究實習的寶貴機會。歡迎大家踴躍報名參加!
