FH New Directions Lecture Series

The FH New Directions Lecture Series provides a forum for the Faculty’s junior scholars at the ranks of Assistant Professor or Research Assistant Professor to present the latest directions of their research to the larger intellectual communities. Three lectures were given by presenters from our three academic departments in the previous season:

  • Decoding Accuracy: Sentiment Analysis Meets the Art of Simultaneous Interpreting Prof. Xu Han (LST), Assistant Professor
  • Bridging Tradition and Innovation: The Role of Technology in Task-Based Language Teaching by Prof. Qiu Xuyan Christy (ENGL), Assistant Professor
  • Quantifying Reception: A Co-Citation Analysis of Forty-One Poetry Anthologies in Early Modern China, 1500s to 1800s by Prof. Chen Jing (CHC), Assistant Professor
