Translating the Humanities and Technologizing Translation: Translation Master Lectures cum International Conference on Translation, Culture and Technology (THTT2023)

Jointly organised by the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies and the Hong Kong Translation Society, the THTT2023 Conference was successfully held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 16-19 June 2023. The highlighted “Translation Master Lectures” were delivered by 4 venerable masters in the field, namely Prof. Leo Tak-hung Chan from Guangxi University, Prof. Douglas Robinson from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Prof. Tung Yuan-fang from Tunghai University, and Prof. Wang Kefei from Beijing Foreign Studies University. The Conference also featured invited speeches, featured speeches and parallel panel sessions, covering various themes such as corpus-based translation studies, translation and technology, and audiovisual translation. The Conference attracted 110 participants from all over the world, and 50 speakers presented their latest research findings in the field of translation studies.
