Summary
About the Symposium
The Crisis Communication Think Tank (CCTT) Asia-Hub Annual Symposium 2026, to be held on 29–30 May 2026 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong, brings together leading scholars, practitioners, and emerging researchers to advance readiness and governance in crisis management in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
The symposium focuses on how organisations, governments, and communities can better anticipate, prepare for, and respond to crises. In particular, the programme addresses:
• AI governance and algorithmic risks
• Misinformation and disinformation in crisis contexts
• Cybersecurity disruptions and digital vulnerabilities
• Business continuity, resilience, and stakeholder trust
By connecting frontier research with real-world practice, the symposium aims to strengthen an Asia-anchored global network for crisis communication research, teaching, and professional practice.
