Topic Overview:

Innovation is in the lifeblood of the fashion and textile industry. Recent innovations in fashion and textiles are driven by functionality, artificial intelligence & digital technology as well as sustainability. In this week’s lectures, we will provide an overview of the research and innovation activities currently undertaken in RCTFF and share our latest developments in smart multifunctional textiles and wearables (e.g. biomimetic textiles, sweat management fabrics, smart adaptive textiles, personal cooling devices/wearables and healthcare apparel) for future fashion as well as applications of AI for the fashion Supply Chain Management and e-commerce.
