The Canonization of Gui Youguang and the Formation and Nature of TangSong School (歸有光的經典化與唐宋派之生成及其性質). The 14th Popular Literature and Serious Literature—International conference on “Media and Communication”. Department of Chinese Literature, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. 15-16 October 2021.

Abstract
The "Tangsong School" rose in the middle of the Ming Dynasty. Under the Classical movement in that time, it put forward the literary proposition of "learning from the Tang and Song dynasties". However, scholars have yet to reach a consensus on the membership of the "Tang Song School". In particular, Gui Youguang did not interact with Wang Shenzhong, Tang Shunzhi, and Mao Kun, which became a difficult point for scholars to discuss the Tang and Song School. Therefore, this article starts with the canonization of Gui Youguang in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and analyzes how the literati of the Ming and Qing dynasties integrated Gui Youguang with Wang Shenzhong, Tang Shunzhi and Mao Kun. It further pointed out that the formation of the "Tang Song School" was due to the following two major factors: First, in order to eliminate the influence of the "Classical School" in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the literati promoted Gui Youguang's literary status and integrated it into the three families of Wang, Tang and Mao. In addition, under the imperial examination system, the theories, methods, and works of the "Tang Song School" became exam resources for the Qing people, which also contributed to the formation of the "Tang Song School".
