On 16 May 2026, the Alumni Culture and Heritage Tours Club and the Alumni Foodie Club led more than 30 alumni, together with their family members and friends, on a trip to Tai O to explore the heritage and local specialties of this traditional fishing village.
Guided by docents, participants strolled through the village streets, passing local stalls and residences while learning about the history of the Tai O community. The group then toured stilt houses to learn more about the fishermen’s way of life, followed by a boat ride that offered a close-up view of the village landscape and coastline from the water.
After enjoying a signature seaside lunch, participants spent the afternoon visiting several landmarks and browsing for well-known delicacies. They also took part in a Cha Guo workshop, where they made their own treats to bring home.
