Mr Jerry Chan Chun-yu garnered the Young Design Talent Special Mention Award 2025 at the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award. He believes that the future of mobility design goes beyond style and aesthetics, envisioning automobiles as integrated product systems and living spaces. His two-year tenure as Aerodynamics Lead of the PolyU E-Formula Racing Team was particularly inspiring, during which he led the aerodynamic design of the HKF-06E race car. Through an iterative design process, Jerry and his team shaped a streamlined form defined purely by function, demonstrating how designers can transform specialised workflows in an industry traditionally dominated by automotive engineering.
