AAE alumnus won the HKIE-LTD Best Student Paper Awards 2020

Mr. TSANG Kun Yat, an alumnus of B.Eng. (Hons) in Aviation Engineering, won the HKIE LTD Best Student Paper Awards 2020 with the project titled “Blockchain-based system for aircraft parts traceability and condition tracking”, which is supervised by Dr K.H. Ng and Prof. Simon Yu. The project aims to establish the transformation of the aircraft parts inventory management to a secure one by incorporating blockchain to enhance the security, transparency, and traceability of data in the spare parts supply chain.

The award was presented by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – Logistics and Transportation Division (HKIE LTD) as a recognition of outstanding students in transportation engineering programs in Hong Kong. It aims to promote innovative ideas and research that contribute to sustainable logistics and transportation systems in Hong Kong. It also encourages students to pursue their careers in the engineering profession.
