This system allows researchers to directly record single-cell electrical signals from a variety of cells, studying the action potential of neurons, perform basic ion channels/transporter researches, and/or the interaction between adjacent cells. The users can utilize the dual electrodes to make dual patch clamp recordings simultaneously.

Specifications:
• Microscope: Nikon Eclipse FN1 with 10x, 40x, DIC capable
• Amplifier: Molecular device Multiclamp 700B; dual channels; low noise (0.28 pArms at voltage clamp with 50GΩ gain, 10 kHz, 8-pole Bessel)
• Micro-manipulators: Two Sutter MPC-200
• Light: Bright field, IR, UV
• Camera: Dage-MTI IR1000, 1/3 inch color CMOS sensor, 2.1 M pixel

Applications:
• Single cell recordings
• Cell-Cell coupling
• Gap junctions
• Synaptic plasticity
• Synaptic transmissions and modulations
