The following summary shows the arrangement for interviews and/or aptitude tests/assessments for schemes / programmes in 2026/27. As further changes on these arrangements may be made, applicants should check this webpage regularly to obtain the most up-to-date interview arrangements of our schemes/programmes.
Schemes / programmes which will conduct interviews / aptitude tests / assessments before the announcement of the HKDSE results will notify shortlisted applicants of the details individually by email, SMS, phone (our phone number usually starts with 2766 or 3400) or other electronic means. Schemes / programmes which will conduct interviews / tests after the announcement of HKDSE results will release their interview / test shortlist on 22 July 2026 at our eAdmission System via the Study@PolyU website at www.polyu.edu.hk/study. Schemes / programmes which do not specify any interview arrangement at the Study@PolyU may also invite applicants to attend an interview if deemed necessary. Applicants are advised to check the details and attend the interviews/tests as scheduled since re-arrangement may not be possible. If they fail to do so, their applications may not be further considered.
To obtain a better understanding of the overall academic and non-academic qualities and achievements of applicants and their attitudes toward the programme, and to gauge applicants’ language and communication skills and evaluate his/her interest in, potential for, and knowledge of the hotel, tourism, and event and experience industries in general.

Portfolio submission (MUST); interview with portfolio presentation (approximately 15–20 minutes)

Upon release of their HKDSE results, applicants will be shortlisted for interviews. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an individual interview with their physical/digital portfolio, as well as their prototypes or models (if applicable).

Top HKDSE scorers (e.g., average weighted score of 5 in 2025/26) will be exempted from portfolio submission in June and invited for an admission interview after the JUPAS results are announced.

To evaluate the applicant's suitability for the healthcare profession by assessing their enthusiasm for patient care, technological proficiency and innovative mindset, and communication skills in both Chinese (Cantonese) and English.

Students shortlisted for the non-academic admission scheme will be interviewed prior to the announcement of HKDSE results.
