Student Message

I am delighted to have been enrolled in the first cohort of the new MSc in Dietetics programme, which I found both exciting and inspiring. The programme offers a fresh pathway for students who are passionate about becoming registered dietitians, providing practical opportunities to apply knowledge in both clinical and community settings.

Choosing this programme has been one of the most rewarding decisions in my academic journey. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, blending evidence-based nutrition science with hands-on clinical training that prepares students for real-world practice.

A highlight has been the chance to learn from professional faculty and teaching staff from diverse backgrounds, including experienced registered dietitians in practice, speech therapists, pharmacists, and doctors. This cross-disciplinary environment broadened my perspective on health and nutrition challenges and strengthened my ability to collaborate across different healthcare fields.

Overall, the MSc in Dietetics programme has equipped me with the knowledge and practical skills I need, while giving me the confidence to pursue my future career as a dietitian and contribute to the profession.

CHEUNG Lei-lei, Lily

The MSc in Dietetics covers a wide range of topics and in-depth practical knowledge in Nutrition and Health Sciences, while consolidating the basics of biological sciences, essential for a career in the nutrition field. Through consistent practice in applying knowledge to case scenarios, we learnt to think about nutrition in different and multi-perspective ways, applying patient-centred knowledge, while considering personal core values, and integrating communication skills to motivate behavioural change. Substantial feedback on coursework further assisted our learning. I am very grateful for the instructors' support and the comprehensive lectures that equipped us with lifelong knowledge and the ability to contribute to the field of public health.
