Student Message

Studying on this programme has been a truly fruitful experience for me.  It has helped me strengthen the knowledge and skills that connect directly to my work, so what I learnt felt practical rather than abstract.  The subjects have broadened my understanding and given me ideas I can apply immediately in professional situations.

Another valuable part of the programme was the people I met.  I have had the chance to learn alongside other professionals from different backgrounds, and our discussions have widened my perspective.  Hearing how others approach similar challenges has helped me reflect on my own practice and think in new ways.

I also appreciated the professors' guidance very much.  They are approachable, patient, and genuinely willing to support students.  They teach clearly and are generous in sharing real experiences from their areas of expertise.  Their guidance has made the learning process more engaging and motivating.  Overall, this programme has been both meaningful and rewarding for my growth.

Aden Chan (Radiographer)

The programme combines the strength of healthcare and IT, making it ideal for professionals interested in this rapidly growing interdisciplinary field.  The programme begins with introductory courses that are accessible for students from all backgrounds before scaling up to advanced topics such as AI, medical physics and PACS. Supported by a broad coalition of departments, including management, health and computer science, students can choose from a wide range of courses.

The programme prepared us for the real-world environment through its experienced teaching team, diverse classmates and strong industry connections. Many lecturers are industry veterans with years of clinical experience.  Classmates were from a wide range of backgrounds, such as nursing, medical imaging, biotech and computer science. Discussing case studies with them broadened my perspective and provided insights beyond textbooks.

A highlight of the programme was the site visits to local hospitals.  I particularly remember the visit to Tin Shui Wai Hospital, where a nurse showed us how they integrate “smart hospital” concepts into their workflow and demonstrated the various robots used in practice.

Hong Kong is well-positioned as a hub for health innovation, and this programme is the ideal gateway to join this community.
