Aims
This programme aims to equip students to transform innovative ideas into successful ventures and develop into future leaders in technology entrepreneurship. The curriculum integrates the three key areas of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, laying a solid foundation for students to embark on their journey as technology entrepreneurs.
Characteristics

Focuses on practical experience through start-up projects, enabling students to experience the entire process of technology entrepreneurship.

Features cross-regional teaching, combining the strengths of Hong Kong and Mainland China, to help students broaden their horizons and gain diverse learning experiences.

Leverages PolyU Mainland Technology and Research Institutes (MTRIs), established in 10+ cities across Mainland China, to provide students with exclusive opportunities and real exposure to business environments and resources.

Adopts a dual-supervisor system (PolyU academic advisor & MTRI industry supervisor), placing equal emphasis on theory and practice.

Features masterclasses delivered by industry leaders to expand students’ professional perspectives and industry networks.

Offers courses in Chinese, supplemented by bilingual pitch training, enabling students to seamlessly connect with the global stage.

Provides exclusive funding of up to HK$1.4 million through the “PolyU Micro Fund Scheme”, supporting students in launching and operating their start-up projects.
The programme is benchmarked against the internationally recognised Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) training courses, cultivating professional talent in technology transfer.
Graduates may apply for the Ministry of Education’s overseas degree certification.
Students are required to complete the following subjects (37 credits) for the programme. Subjects default to three credits unless specified otherwise.

Entrance Requirements

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree from an institution recognised by PolyU.

Preference will be given to applicants having:
-
prior entrepreneurial experience (e.g., founding, co-founding or other key involvement in a start-up); or
-
at least two years of full-time relevant work experience in technology, business or innovation.

English Language Requirements

If a candidate is not a native speaker of English and does not possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification awarded by an institution where the medium of instruction is English, he/she will be expected to fulfil the University’s minimum English language requirement or pass an English written test organised by the English Language Centre (ELC) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
