Remarks

  • The normal credit requirement for graduation from this programme is 61. Students who do not meet the equivalent standard of the Undergraduate Degree Language Communication Requirements (LCR) based on their previous studies in AD/HD programmes and their academic performance will be required to take an additional 3 to 9 credits of English and/or Chinese language subject(s) on top of the normal credit requirements.
  • Preference will be given to students with good language skills.

Aims and Characteristics

The Interior Design programme aims to provide students with creative, professional skills and knowledge that are necessary for a successful career in the interior design industry.
The programme educates interior designers to have a broad interdisciplinary view of their role within the industry, and to be able to operate at various scales to design innovative spaces within the contemporary city.
Graduates will gain knowledge of how interior design intersects with other spatial and environmental disciplines including architecture, landscape, urban design, and planning policies.
With the exposure to graphic design, product design and industrial design, the course provides a gateway to further educational opportunities in design fields.
