Pengwithact is an experimental project based in Peng Chau that uses mobility to reimagine everyday social relationships. Within the island’s familiar rhythms, it introduces subtle interventions that open space for unexpected encounters and renewed connections. A tricycle, an iconic presence on the island, serves as the project’s medium, moving across community settings and adapting to different situations. It transforms into a game table, a mobile tea station, or a platform for collecting objects and stories. These low-threshold formats invite casual participation and create moments for interaction within daily life. Rather than forming new ties, Pengwithact works within existing social networks, making them more visible and allowing them to shift through movement and encounter. By gently disrupting boundaries between people, spaces, and routines, the project reveals how relationships evolve through repetition, overlap, and shared experience, fostering a more open and dynamic network.
