This project reinterprets Yau Ma Tei Fruit Market as a site shaped by two temporal occupations. By day, it functions as a public market for circulation, food consumption, and social exchange; by night, it becomes a logistics system for fruit distribution across Hong Kong. Rather than separating these conditions, the proposal introduces a layered architectural framework where public and logistical systems coexist within the historic market fabric. Through site observation, photographic mapping, day–night narrative studies, and sectional analysis, the project identifies underused spaces and conflicts between public access and market logistics. New elements—including elevated skywalks, public platforms, lightweight veil roofs, and upper-level logistics routes—extend the market without replacing its original function.
