Keynote Speaker
Prof. Alessandro Biamonti
Associate Professor, LABIRINT Research Atelier and Design Department, Politecnico di Milano
Prof. Alessandro Biamonti is an architect and holds a PhD in Industrial Design and Multimedia Communication. Within the Politecnico di Milano, he is the Rector's delegate for International Relations with India, Associate Professor in the Department of Design, coordinator of the LABIRINT Research Atelier, and a member of the direction of training programmes at the PoliDESIGN Consortium. He is passionate about the study of design in a broad spectrum, especially in relation to the cultural and anthropological aspects of the discipline. Long active in promoting intercultural dialogue, he is a member of the Faculty of the Master's Degree in Design at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) and a member of the Advisory Board of UID (India) and Ritsumeikan University (Japan). A recipient of an Honourable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro with the GRACE_lab project (A research laboratory on therapeutic habitats for Alzheimer's syndrome), he is responsible for the Active Ageing research platform, promoter of the Design Clinic Project, and creator of the 24HDesignConversation Online Marathon and the Milan Design PhD Festival.
