Collaboration with School of Hotel and Tourism Management and Hotel ICON

23 Jul 2019

It is our great pleasure in collaborating with the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) and Hotel ICON to present the ‘Think Tank of Smart Hotel Room’ event on Tuesday 16 July, as part of the ‘Tomorrow’s Guestrooms’ project that is to research on the future guest experiences with application of smart technologies. The event is set to share insights on smart hotel rooms and explore new ideas in the design aspect.

Representatives from the industry and academia participated in the rich programme including knowledge sharing, industry insights sessions, co-creation workshops and networking sessions. Among the speakers, Mr. Bruce Wan of PolyU Design shared his research on 'Design for smart tourism and hospitality experiences' and conducted a workshop with our PhD student Ms Kate Lee, with some other faculty members’ participation. The event was concluded with our Dean Professor Kun-Pyo Lee’s closing remark.
