Summary
A New Style of Practice for Architects: Integrating Architecture, Advertising, Japanese Pop Culture and Technology
Tan Yamanouchi shares how he moved from learning architecture from his father, to questioning established ways of practising architecture in Japan, studying technology and business at KMD, and working as a creative director at Hakuhodo. Through projects spanning architecture, branding, manga, anime and international exhibitions, he explores a new style of practice in which architects initiate projects, communicate directly with clients and produce ideas from concept to completion.
All PolyU staff and student are welcome.
