The PolyU Student Flag-Raising Team was established in January 2023, making us the first university to set up such a team. Its purpose is to foster students’ engagement with and understanding of our Motherland, thereby cultivating a stronger sense of national identity. The Team has trained undergraduate and postgraduate students, who are responsible for flag-raising ceremonies on important days, such as National Day, the anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the anniversary of the founding of PolyU and New Year’s Day.
