Academic Staff

Yi Sun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Building and Real Estate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. As an urban planner by training, his research interests include age-friendly cities and communities, as well as promoting well-being for the ageing population through digital health solutions. He also has interests in urban and regional planning and development, mainly focusing on governance, land development process, and land financialization. Professionally, he has served as a committee member for the Urban Renewal Authority and the Buildings Department, working on urban renewal, building rehabilitation, and the development of new building design manuals.
