PolyU is organising a Chinese Culture Festival to enhance and promote understanding and appreciation of China’s rich cultural heritage among the PolyU community.

A series of activities, including exhibitions, seminars and workshops, will be launched from mid-March onwards to showcase the beauty and significance of various aspects of Chinese culture, such as pottery lacquerware, Wenzhou embroidery, Chinese music, Chinese classics recitation and more. A Kick-Off Ceremony will be held on 14 March 2024 (Thursday) at the Chiang Chen Studio Theatre to officially mark commencement of the Festival.

As part of the Festival, in March PolyU will collaborate with Tiangong University to organise exhibitions and workshops featuring traditional Chinese culture and artistry from Tianjin, including pottery lacquerware and the City’s three unique items of intangible cultural heritage: Clay Figurines, Yangliuqing New Year paints and kites.
