Young researchers embark on a journey into space
A team of young researchers led by Prof. Wu Bo, Associate Director of the Research Centre for Deep Space Explorations, shared how they embarked upon their space exploration journey in a mini-documentary by China Daily.
The team, including Dr Wang Yiran, Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI); and Mr Chen Long, Ms Li Zhaojin and Mr Chen Zeyu, PhD candidates of LSGI, have participated in the Nation’s Mars and lunar exploration missions. According to Prof. Wu, the challenges encountered in these projects had also provided valuable opportunities to nurture the young researchers.
“After such training, I think these young students and researchers will grow… and become the backbone of the future force [for China’s space exploration],” Prof. Wu said. Learn more about these young researchers’ stories in this interview.
