The Student Computer Centre (SCC), conveniently located on the 4th floor of the Li Ka Shing Tower, offers a modern, technology-enabled environment designed to support both students and staff. With over 200 PCs available, the SCC provides easy access to computing resources for academic work, project development, and digital creativity, with no prior booking required.
In addition to its well-equipped computer labs, the SCC features informal learning spaces that are ideal for group discussions, collaboration, and project work, as well as a relaxation area where users can take a break and recharge.
Students are encouraged to make full use of the wide range of pre-installed software available at the SCC to support their studies and creative projects. Selected workstations are also equipped with dedicated graphics cards to enhance performance for multimedia and graphics-intensive applications. Available software includes:
- DaVinci Resolve for professional video editing
- OBS Studio for video recording and live streaming
- Renderforest for animation and visual content creation
- Unity for game development and interactive media projects
To further enhance user convenience, the SCC provides printing and scanning services, with Octopus card payment supported for service charges. A wireless printing solution, “SCC Mobile Print”, is also available through the “Print Utility” mobile application, allowing users to print documents directly from their mobile devices or cloud storage platforms. With SCC Mobile Print, users can enjoy a seamless and flexible printing experience whenever they are at the Centre.
