Student Computer Centre (SCC) refurbishment works will commence in July and August. Teaching laboratories on the 4/F of SCC located at Li Ka Shing Tower (Block M) will be re-fitted with new study desks after repainting and carpet replacement works. The layout of the teaching laboratories will be enhanced to provide a more spacious environment for students to learn and study. Wi-Fi coverage and network bandwidth will be enhanced to improve student Internet access experience when using own devices.
Existing printing room at M305 will be converted to additional informal study space with large LCD display to allow wireless screen sharing and group discussion.
During refurbishment works period, the following teaching laboratories at SCC will be closed for maintenance until 31 August 2020:

Informal learning space and self-study areas on 3/F of SCC will remain open during this period. Students are welcome to leverage installed software on SCC machines for various applications, such as 3D modelling, multimedia content editing, coding/development tools as well as statistical analysis.
To keep user safe from COVID-19, all users are required to wear a mask in SCC and please do not move the tables and chairs around so as to keep a safe social distance.
