While wishing you a joyful holiday, the Health and Safety Office would like to remind all laboratory personnel of the following:
1. Ensure the emergency contact information on your lab door is up-to-date.
2. Pre-Holiday Checklist for all laboratory personnel:
- Shut off and secure all gas cylinders and lines;
- Do not leave experiments unattended;
- Close fume cupboard sashes completely;
- Ensure backup power, gases, and water for critical equipment;
- Turn off and unplug non-essential equipment, if possible; and
- Lock doors to prevent unauthorized access to laboratory areas.
