Supervisor

Prof Heng LI

Area of Research

Ergonomics, physical fatigue, postural control, fall prevention, work-related musculoskeletal disorders, construction workers

Research Scope

Accurate and real-time assessment of fatigue could help prevent construction workers from its ill effects. This would help us identify a suitable technology for fatigue monitoring for construction workers which could be employed in number of ways. It will assist in increased monitoring of trades or workers which are at higher risk of fatigue development. It will help in designing work-rest schedules for different construction trades. The results arising from the project could also help mitigate fatigue in other high-risk workers such as mine workers and firefighters.

Research Methodology

ANWER Shahnawaz-methodology

Prizes and Awards

Postgraduate Studentship Award in January 2019

Academic Attachment and Exchange

I participated in a summer school program on Sustainable Housing from the European Perspective. This program was organized by the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands.
