Well done to Miss YU Sinan!
Sinan, our year-four student of BSc (Hons) in Building and Engineering Management Programme, received the Best Individual Dissertation Award 2023 from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Building Division Fund) in May 2023.
Sinan says, “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Prof NI Meng and Dr WENG Yiwei from BRE, and the entire PolyU BRE community for their invaluable support and guidance throughout my research journey. This award would not have been possible without their unwavering encouragement and expertise. BRE provides opportunities for students to delve into research and contribute to the field of building engineering. This recognition reaffirms the importance in advancing knowledge and driving innovation in the built environment.”
In the era of intelligent reform in the construction industry, Sinan also hopes that this achievement serves as an inspiration to fellow students, encouraging them to pursue excellence in their own dissertations and academic pursuits, further promoting the development and prosperity of the Hong Kong building industry.
