Assistant Professor of BRE wins the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal Best Paper Award

We are thrilled to share that Dr Jeff Jianfu Shen, our Assistant Professor, received the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ) Best Paper Award at the Asian Finance Association Conference.  The prize was awarded for his paper entitled “CSR Disclosure and Corporate Innovation: Evidence from China”. 

 

The Asian Finance Association Conference is an annual event to gather global financial experts to present their recent research and exchange ideas and information on new development in finance research.  The majority of the sessions were to select papers through open competition.  This year, the total number of submissions was 657 papers from Hong Kong, mainland China, the US, UK, Australia and other regions.  338 papers were accepted, and 297 papers were included in 97 sessions of the conference programme.

 

There were total 11 papers that won the Best Paper Awards in different categories: 3 papers for Asian Finance Association (AsianFA) Best Paper Award, 2 papers for AMTD FinTech Centre Prize, 2 papers for the Best Doctoral Paper Award, and 4 papers for Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ) Best Paper Award where Dr Shen’s paper was awarded in this category.
