Programme Aims
The MA in Global Fashion Management develops forward-thinking leaders and entrepreneurs capable of navigating the modern creative economy. By integrating advanced business management with a deep understanding of the global fashion and textile sectors, the programme empowers students to lead with strategic insight, cultural intelligence, and a commitment to innovation. We cultivate professionals who not only adapt to the industry but also actively shape its future through ethical leadership and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Characteristics
The programme focuses on global fashion strategic management and entrepreneurship, emphasising best managerial practices and innovative industry solutions. It is defined by its synthesis of academic rigour and hands-on engagement.
Two pathways are available to suit different career stages:

Option 1: For executives with three or more years of industry experience.

Option 2: For graduates and professionals with less than three years of industry experience.
Global Immersion Study Pathways (GIP)
A hallmark of the programme, GIP provides direct exposure to global fashion hubs through immersive learning.

Option 1: Developed in collaboration with the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York) and Institut Français de la Mode (Paris), students attend intensive seminars in New York, Paris, and Hong Kong/Mainland China.

Option 2: Consists of two international seminars and a capstone project. Seminars are held in major fashion hubs across Asia, Europe, and North America, such as Tokyo, Seoul, London, and Paris, and are updated annually to reflect industry developments.
These seminars offer behind-the-scenes access to major fashion houses and manufacturing centres. Students engage with international experts to understand regional market nuances and global supply chain dynamics.
To equip graduates for the future, the programme offers focused electives in critical areas such as digital disruption, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. These subjects foster the strategic thinking and practical problem-solving skills required to excel in the industry.
Programme Structure
Students are required to fulfil a total 31 credits comprising of credits from 10 subjects and a 1-credit compulsory subject on Academic Integrity and Ethics (AIE).
Study Duration
Option 1: Full-time students complete their credits over three semesters (1.5 years)
Option 2: Full-time students complete their credits over Semesters 1 and 2, plus the summer term

A Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in any discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognised university.

A minimum of three years' professional experience is mandatory. Preference is given to those with a proven track record in fashion, design, media, communications or business management.

A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 is required. This may be waived for candidates who have completed a degree at a university where English is the primary language of instruction. Please refer to the "Admission Requirements" section for details.

Depending on their pace of study, full-time mode students taking GIP Study Option 2 may be able to complete the programme in one year.

The tuition fee does not include the fee arising from the overseas trips or study tours/workshops under the Global Immersion Study Pathways.
