‘Book Through’ is an experimental endeavor aimed at exploring the realm of books, book culture, community, and the role of design in offering readers an alternative way to indulge in the diverse and enriching landscape of literature.Led by a team of interdisciplinary design-entrepreneurs, the project commenced with a thorough examination of the existing challenges within the book community in Hong Kong.

Through extensive primary and secondary research methods, including user shadowing and in-depth interviews, the team identified several significant obstacles hindering an enjoyable reading experience. These obstacles encompassed the fragmentation of reading resources, the disconnection among readers, and the limitations imposed on readers' literary interests. In light of these findings, the team took the initiative to develop a digital platform that allows readers in Hong Kong to foster a book culture promoting sustainable and scalable reading habits.

By incorporating habit data visualization, information sharing, and other diverse functions within a gamification framework, the team aims to address the issues identified during the research phase and ultimately act as a catalyst for the future development of the book community.
