Biography

Dr Larina Wang is an instructor with a background in Computer Science, specialising in interactive systems, AI integration, immersive technologies, and data visualisation. With over 15 years of experience in augmented reality innovation, she has led pioneering research and major commercial development projects in the field. She has been recognised as an industry leader with multiple honours, including Australia’s prestigious Tasmania State iAward (2014), followed by a Tasmania nomination in 2016 and a State iAward nomination in Melbourne in 2023. Her expertise spans human–computer interaction, computer vision, and image processing. She has experience in emerging AI technologies and XR applications.

At PolyU, she is actively involved in teaching and guiding student projects in system design and digital innovation. Her recent work focuses on developing voice based interactive systems, designing AI driven content creation workflows, and exploring how emerging technologies such as XR and generative AI can enrich teaching, learning, and creative practice.

She enjoys cross disciplinary collaboration and is passionate about using technology to enhance learning experiences and support innovation.
