Biography

Hei is a creative and system thinker who assists clients in understanding the innovation process and user-centred design. He helps them navigate complexities and expresses their brand personality and values. As an innovation director, he has played a vital role in building the innovation process and capability for companies like Tencent and vivo. With experience in both the US and Asia, Hei brings valuable cross-cultural insights to his work. Before joining IDEO, Hei honed his user-centred research skills and design thinking by participating in design projects for the hearing and visually impaired with the Royal College of Art’s (RCA) Helen Hamlyn Center. He has a talent for bringing complex subjects to life through communication strategy and compelling storytelling. He has directed and produced films and animations that deepen clients' understanding of various broad and intangible topics, such as brand stories, global warming, and the future of healthcare and education systems.
