The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design (PolyU Design) was delighted to welcome two distinguished guests, Valeriia Malomuzh, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Danil Tolmachev, Director of the School of Creative Economy, from St. Petersburg State University (SPbU) on 10 December 2025.

They met with Dean Prof. Kun-Pyo Lee and Associate Dean Prof. Henry Duh of PolyU Design to promote educational cooperation and academic exchange, exploring opportunities for collaboration in research and postgraduate education — particularly the MSc in Innovative Multimedia Entertainment programme and PolyU Research Centre for Cultural and Art Technology.

PolyU was the only institution they visited in Hong Kong, reflecting both parties’ shared vision of advancing creativity and innovation.

SPbU’s School of Creative Economy is a new centre dedicated to training professionals for modern creative industries, supporting Russia’s goals in science, education, and innovation. The university already collaborates with leading Chinese institutions such as Tsinghua, Peking, Fudan, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Shanghai Jiao Tong, and here at PolyU Design we look forward to building strong ties with them as well.
