We are proud to announce that our BA(Hons) in Environment and Interior Design student Chi Wai Vincent CHUK shines on the international stage recently. His capstone project "Transcultural Journey on the Orient Express", which was supervised by Prof. Peter Hasdell, was awarded a Citation Award at the LOOP Design Awards, a Special Mention at the Architizer Vision Awards 2023, and was shortlisted for the Buildner Architects' Sugar Architectural Visualisation Award 2nd edition and The Architecture Drawing Prize. Vincent himself was also honoured with the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award by the Hong Kong Design Centre for his overall outstanding performance in design and academics.

The project "Transcultural Journey on the Orient Express" envisions a transcultural journey on the Orient Express, connecting diverse cities and cultures. It utilises modular cultural resources transported by conveyor belt-inspired mechanisms, fostering a dynamic transcultural operation. The detailed itinerary and panoramic world-building drawing further immerse the viewer in this journey, inviting them to engage and explore.

The awards received are prestigious in the design and architecture industries and recognises outstanding talent and ingenuity in diverse sectors of the industry.
