STEM Education Project of the Youth - 2025 Blooming Mechanical Flowers

The "Blooming Mechanical Flowers" is a school programme for students to gain knowledge on digital fabrication and electro-mechanical design through hands-on workshops on assembling and programming core structure of mechanical flowers from 3D printed parts and commercial off-the-shelf components, and apply their creativity to design an installation using the core structure. Through the "STEM Education Project of the Youth" funded by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) and organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers (HKFEW), we extended the programme to ten local secondary schools in the academic year of 2023-2024, and another ten schools in 2024-2025, benefiting at least 600 students and 20 schools in total. This exhibition show-cases and celebrates creative works  from students in 10 schools in the 2024-2025 cohort.
