Summary

The presentation brings together reflections on the idea of the creative city (and its development and ecologies) developed by Dr Roberta Comunian in the last ten years. It considers how cities can facilitate creative development but also the limits of top-down interventions. It reflects on how economic crisis, changes in the economy or Covid-19 might affect the pathways of city development and how the creative economy evolves and responds to these changes but needs to remain inclusive and open to facilitate future developments.
