Introduction
To promote Master’s level of education for practitioners in occupational therapy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences and hence to enhance practice and research in the fields, the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences is pleased to offer a scholarship scheme to support outstanding practitioners in pursuing the MSc study at PolyU.
Scholarship Value
- The Scholarship will cover part of the tuition fee of the MSc Programme
- Scholarship quota and amount:Three quotas per programme (MSc programmes under the Postgraduate Scheme in Rehabilitation Sciences) at a maximum amount of HK$20,000 for each awardee
- The awardees are required to repay the scholarship in full amount if they fail to complete the MSc study or withdraw from the programme at anytime
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
- Have successfully registered in the MSc programmes under the Postgraduate Scheme in Rehabilitation Sciences;
- Has outstanding/excellent track record in academic (e.g., with GPA 3.2 or above in undergraduate study) and/or clinical work (with employer recommendation letter being an advantage) in the rehabilitation field;
- Able to demonstrate commitment to develop OT, PT or Rehabilitation Sciences profession with a good track record of establishing the service validated by respective employment organisations and/or professional bodies.
Application Procedures

- Applicants are requested to send all necessary documents (Application form, photocopies of certificates, transcripts, and relevant documents for working experiences) to the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University before the Scholarship application deadline;
- Applicants should complete the online application procedure for the abovementioned programmes before submitting the Scholarship application;A scholarship selection interview will be organised for shortlisted applicants.
