Biography

Gabriel C.H. Fong received his BSc (Hons.) degree in Computer Science from the Coventry University, MSc degree in Information Security from the University of South Wales, and PhD degree in Informatics from the University of Ulster, all in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, he was a Project Associate in the Department of Computing and later a Research Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and working in interdisciplinary fields of Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Science, and Logistics. His research interests include e-healthcare, stroke rehabilitation, smart living, serious games, and data security. Gabriel has participated in several innovative research projects incorporating with cutting-edge technologies. He is experienced in cross-platform development, applications on cloud, and mobile technology. Dr Fong also possesses substantial experience in collaborating with hospitals and NGOs and writing grant proposals for such as ITF, ATDF, and Microsoft Research.
